Lichen Planus

Lichen Planus treatment is a focused medical approach aimed at suppressing the immune system’s overreaction and healing the skin or mucous membranes. The protocol typically begins with high-potency Topical Corticosteroids or calcineurin inhibitors to reduce inflammation and flatten the lesions. For more widespread or stubborn cases, the plan may include Phototherapy (light therapy) to calm the skin using controlled UV light. In severe instances, systemic medications like oral steroids, retinoids, or immunosuppressants are prescribed to halt the progression of the disease and provide rapid relief.
