Carbon Peel

A Carbon Peel, often called a "China Doll" or "Hollywood" peel, is a non-invasive skin rejuvenation treatment that uses a layer of liquid carbon applied to the face. Once the carbon is dry, a laser (typically a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser) is passed over the skin. The dark carbon particles highly absorb the laser light, which causes the carbon to be gently vaporized, taking with it the outermost layer of dead skin cells, oil, and impurities. This process effectively cleanses and resurfaces the skin while the heat generated helps to shrink pores and stimulate collagen production.
